Why mycotoxin testing?
Dr. Bredesen has classified Alzheimer’s into 6 different subtypes. These are:
- Type 1: Inflammatory (especially chronic)
- Type 2: Atrophic (sub-optimal levels of nutrients, hormones, trophic factors)
- Type 1.5: Glycotoxic (high blood sugar, fasting insulin and/or cholesterol)
- Type 3: Toxic (heavy metals, chemicals or mycotoxins)

1. Advanced Mycotoxin testing
The Real Time Mycotoxin test is one of the most advanced and reliable tests for mycotoxins. It checks for 16 toxins, including ochratoxin, aflatoxin, gliotoxin, trichothecenes and zearalenone.
2. Glutathione Provocation
The test works best with provocation with Glutathione. To provoke means to dislodge some toxins from your organs into urine so they can be analyzed. This entails taking x units y times a day for z days. On the morning of z+1 day, collect your first morning urine and send to the lab according to instructions provided.
3. 75-Minute Personal Consultation
During your consultation with Dr. Semby, we will discuss the results of your RT Mycotoxins test. We will discuss if you have current exposure and how to test for it. We will discuss your current symptoms as well as appropriate treatment for mold. Consultation via Zoom or in our offices.

Clinically, we see that mold and mycotoxins are elevated in over 80% of patients with dementia. As the toxic burden reduces through treatment, patients report improvements in subjective symptoms. Subsequent test results show a lower toxic burden. Other possible etiologies for dementia include vascular problems, chemical toxins etc.
Early detection is critical
Early Signs: By the time a patient gets diagnosed with Alzheimer’s the pathology in the brain has been degenerating for about 20 years. If we could educate the population on the need for proactive action, we could reduce the incidence of Alzheimer’s significantly. 20 years before diagnosis, the patient knows something is wrong but no one else suspects anything. If we could start treatment at this preclinical stage, the descent into cognitive decline can be completely prevented.
Stop the Progression: The subjective cognitive impairment (SCI) stage lasts about 10 years. The decline in cognition has begun but it is easy to reverse it during this stage. Unfortunately, most people don’t do anything about it. The next stage is called mild cognitive impairment (MCI) but the name is a complete misnomer. According to Dr. Bredesen, this stage should be called advanced stage Alzheimer’s. It is still possible to reverse many symptoms but it becomes progressively harder and results take longer to achieve.

- On the 6th day, use the provided test kit to collect your first urine of the morning.
- Use the prepaid shipping packet and drop it with FedEx.

Within 2 business days of your order, we will send you the test kit and Liposomal Glutathione along with instructions on how to take the Glutathione and how to collect a urine sample. You will send the urine sample to the testing company. We will receive your test results in about 2 weeks after you send in your sample. We will then meet to discuss your test results and devise a treatment plan customized for you.
