Here are some highlights:
Dr. Miranda Naylor, OD, IFMCP, is an Osteopathic doctor, board-certified in Family Medicine and Functional Medicine. She specializes in women’s health and fertility, particularly menstrual health, fertility, postpartum, and pre-menopause, peri-menopause, and menopause.
Naturopathic and Osteopathic Women’s Health
Dr. Naylor is most interested in helping her patients optimize their health and prevent illness. She believes conventional medicine is appropriate for serious illness and injury, but prefers prevention to cure. This is especially true of women’s health concerns.
Natural Fertility and Conception
Dr. Nayor wants to help women solve the underlying causes of fertility problems. If you have fertility concerns, hormone questions, or menstrual cycle abnormalities such as irregular, painful or heavy periods, she’d love to work with you.
Stress and Women’s Fertility
She became certified in Functional Medicine in part because of her own experiences with stress and fertility. Not all exercise and diets are good for every body. Stress can shut down your normal biological rhythms. Dr Naylor experienced Hypothalamic Amenorrhea during and after the stress of medical school, which interfered with her first attempts at pregnancy.
Hope for Women Struggling to Conceive Naturally
After three years, she was able to restore her menstrual cycle, conceive naturally, and give birth to two healthy, happy children. She wants to spare others the type of fertility and conception problems she experienced.
Get More Attention from your Doctor
Dr. Naylor prefers to schedule longer and more in-depth appointments with her patients — often 3 times longer than the medical average. She looks at all aspects of health, not just lab tests. She goes beyond standard testing to incorporate Functional Medical Testing, to look for hidden issues such as nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, hidden infections, chemical exposure, mold toxicity, and stressors.
